Micro Densitometer

Microdensitometer (PDS or MicroD) for digitizing electron microscopy image films

To set up scan:

Use "B" aperture" and "2" lens both above and below the film.

Set gain on clear area
(select "C" on both filter wheels)

Focus condensor lens until see sharp edges of lower aperture on screen

- toggle to trans.
- calib to 1
- adjust PMT voltage -> 1.00
- toggle to dens.
- calib to N adjust LOG -> 0.06
- leave in dens - N mode

move to center of desired scan
- remove condensor aperture with left-hand dial
- focus objective lens on film grain using eyepiece

Push SELECT -> AUTO

Run SCANS on PC control computer
