Change Anode Belt

Note: Steps 1 through 4 below are also applicable to polish anode and Steps 1 through 7 to change water seal and change magnetic cassette seal of the anode assembly.

1. Stop water flow to R-AXIS by shutting down chill water.

2. Disconnect water hoses (four of them) to the anode assembly (undo connecting knobs and pull out).

3. Take off the belt cover (trivial, not shown here).

4. Take off belt from the pulley of the motor that is mounted against the back of the x-ray tube.

5. Undo the center retaining nut (also called seperator lock nut) of the water cooling main port (turn clockwise!!!).

6. Undo the three screws (tiny blue ones in the chart).

7. Pull out the water cooling main port.

8. Take off the belt from the pulley of the anode and then put on a new one.

9. Put everything back in reversed order.
