Change Bearing and/or Magnetic Seal Cassette1. Follow Steps 1 through 7 in the procedure for changing belt. 2. Undo the four screws that mount the anode assembly onto the x-ray tube. 3. Carefully take out the whole anode assembly from the x-ray tube. 4. Get a copy of the chart on Page 10 of the MSC's Instruction Manual for Rotating Anode Assembly, #ME420CP4 (available on the lab's book shelve). 5. To change the bearing unit, follow instructions in Section 4.4 on Page 6 of the manual. 6. To change the magnetic seal cassette, follow instructions in Section 5 on Page 8 of the manual. 7. Put everything back as before. Don't forget checking O-rings!!! |
