Trouble Shooting: Anode Noise

When you hear strange noise from inside x-ray tube, touch the tip of a screw driver to the anode's main water cooling port (caution: don't slip on it because the screw driver may get on the belt pulley and it can be dangerous!) and put your ear on the handle of the screw driver. If you hear cracking noise coming from the screw driver, the bearing unit in the anode assembly is bad. Then change the bearing unit. Don't mistaken belt noise as anode noise!
