Flushing the circulation system

When you see oilly dirt floating on the water surface in the tank, it's time to consider flushing the circulation system. To do this, first change the water. Then add a quater to a half a liter (MSC recommended a full liter but we feel it's too much) acetic acid into a full tank of fresh water and turn on the chiller. Let it flush through for about 10 minutes. Then drain the water and use fresh water clean it for several times until the water is absolutely clean and colorless without even the slightest smell of acid.
