Setting Up Eudora - Introduction
This is a legacy page. We no longer support Eudora under OS9 and prefer not to use Eudora under OSX as well due to its IMAP limitations.

This tutorial will cover setting up the Eudora Light (no longer supported)and Eudora/Eudora Pro programs to send and receive your Saturn e-mail. You can download the current version of Eudora and accompanying manuals for all operating systems from Qualcomm's Eudora website.

The following instructions were originally written for Eudora Light. Some modifications were added later. The se instructions will work basically with any version of Eudora up to version 6 for OSX, Windows etc. Newer version have some extra features and there may be some graphical differences in the way the windows look but the underlying ideas are the same and you should have no problems using this as a general guide for all Eudora versions. We will update and expand this section in the future.
INSTRUCTIONS
Eudora Light and Eudora stores all the e-mail account information in a folder named Eudora Folder located in the System Folder under OS 8.x and 7.x and in Documents folder under OS 9.x. An Eudora Folder containing a particular user's information can be moved to another location and a new, blank Eudora Folder will be created in System Folder or Documents automatically when you open Eudora application again. This blank folder can be used again to configure Eudora for another user. This will be explained later.

To find the version of your Mac OS go to the Apple menu and select About This Macintosh.
Double click the Eudora Folder to see what's inside. Note the Attachments Folder, you will need it later.

If you have Eudora Light already installed on your Mac, it is possible that someone has already configured it and the Eudora Folder contains someone else's information. Proceed to the next page.
