Creating a receive schedule in Entourage
Entourage will not check emails on a timed schedule by default, only manually when you press the Send & Receive button. In order to have Entourage check email in regular interval you need to create a schedule. Schedules can be used to perform many other task as well but here we'll focus on simply checking email. You can have many schedules, by the way.
In Entourage go to the Tools menu and chose Schedules 01
The Schedules window will open. Click the New button. 02
The Edit Schedule window will open. You can give your new schedule a name here... 03
I called it Receive All From Saturn. Then click the Add Occurrence drop-down menu and select Repeating Schedule. 04
A new box will become available where you can type the number and then select unit of time from the menu next to it. I selected 10 minutes. Please do not enter values lower than 5 minutes. You can mouse around here to see what other options are available.

05
Here you have to select the action you want Entourage to perform. In this case it's Receive Mail.,, 06
Then chose which email account you want this action applied to.

You can have separate receive schedules for different email accounts so one will be received every 5 minutes, while other every 30 minutes for instance. Click OK to save the schedule and close the Schedules window.

Entourage will now automatically check the given email account every 10 minutes.

You can temporarily disable schedules by un-checking the checkboxes in the Schedules window. Then re-enable them later.
