Organizing Common Stocks in Fridge #3
Dear colleagues,
We would like to introduce a new system to organize the common reagents
in the Fridge #3 (both 4 degree and –30 degree). This will help
make our precious reagents more accessible and will avoid duplicated
orders and other redundancies. Please follow the procedures below.
1) Once you have decided to store a new reagent in the Fridge #3, please
add it to the alphabetically ordered log-book.(see #3 below). If you
keep it by yourself not in Fridge #3 (common space), you don’t
need to log it but you are responsible for it.
2) In the case of the desiccator, reagents are organized by alphabetical
order. Please store the reagent in its precise place.
3) In the “Reagent” folder (in the Ron Lab) you will find
an excel file called “RonLab Reagent Log”.
4) Please choose a worksheet either “4 degree” or “-30
degree”.
5) Please fill the corresponding information. The fields in that spreadsheet
are intuitively obvious.
“
item” is the name of regent. Please use precisely the same name
labeled on vial; this will permit your colleagues to use the “find” to
search a reagent.
“
place” desiccator 1, 2 and 3 represent position of the shelf in
desiccator, respectively.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
