Mouse BiP (GRP78) cDNA, partial PstI fragment in a plasmid, presumably pBL+95. The provenace of this plasmid is not know but the entry into our glycerol stock data base was made in May 3, 1996 by Xiao Zhong Wang, a former graduate student. When cut with Pst1 this plasmid releases a ~600-800 base pair fragment that hybridizes with mouse BiP and a ~3000bp plasmid that "looks like pBS". The plasmid has been used extensively in our lab. It imparts Amp resistance. If you happen to sequence the isert and determine its boundaries, please let us know, we'll enter it into the data base .
