Making slides with Photoshop (PC version and maybe also Mac)

cannot have extra channels in file
should show 4 channels (RGB, Red, Green, Blue)

Make EPS file from CorelDraw for slide

Put box around the whole image with margins for slide (can insert page frame from page setup)
Choose Export (rather than print) with EPS format
Check with PC ghostview to make sure bounding box is correct (can redefine with ghostview)
Printing to EPS driver seems to get bounding box wrong!

Make EPS file from Win95 Quark for slide

Specify size to be 2"x3", or 4"x6" or 9"x12" or 7.33"x11" or something in this ratio
put large box with white backgroud behind whole image to ensure white background on slide
Don't use compressed TIFF files to compose slide
Don't use New York or Palatino fonts (for Mac mostly)
    during output of EPS file:
        no preview
        format:  color
        data:  binary
        OPI:  include images
        target:  none
    after output:
        check EPS file with ghostview
if necessary, edit EPS file and remove binary characters before first line (!%) and after %%Trailer;  these are due to preview included in the image

Make EPS file from Quark (MAC version) for slide

EPS file should be Mac color for slidemaker (not other B/W or DOS versions)

Image formats compatible with Quark for slide

EPS - Need to convert to EPS format and add preview to the file (details)
TIFF - should be RGB file uncompressed (not bitmap, not greyscale)
Cannot specify EPS file with transparent background to overlay two EPS images.  TIFF file may work.

Text doesn't appear on slides (EPS printer driver from WIN95 e.g. SigmaPlot)
