Joanne joined the lab in October, 1995, and Xiao-Dan and Jonathan January, 1996. This was our first group photo. Everybody was very serious. She gave us a wonderful piano concert on her very last day, and Manfred clearly enjoyed it (September, 1999)! ... Then we had sushi with Sake. Myong Jin was thinking about something really important. Jinmei and Tony. Heather took Myong Jin's bench. Heather and Markus laughed together all the time (May, 2001). Joanne was happy too. Markus is going to leave for good. Everyone is sad about this. We are all serious except the boss. The handsome and cute Chinese guy is Yong. He came here in August. Once again! Cheer up! Everybody liked the Japanese food, ...except Bryan. David was working. Céline was doing a protein prep. "Finally we are both in New York City!". Another happy couple. The most important experiment of the week. Da-Neng was serving. The best cook of the year. Bryan could not wait to move to the NIH. Christmas dinner on December 14. Dave was so happy to finish his thesis project! The other half of the group.
